History
Founded in 1317 as a Carmelite monastery and later patronised by Henry VIII, the house was later used as a private residence by the Delme-Radcliffe family, as reflected in some of the room names. Many original features remain, including cloisters, Monks Walk with its original beams and large banqueting halls with grand fireplaces.
Guests and paranormal investigators have reported sighting ghostly monks in the cellar (now a bar) and a 'grey lady' who roams the corridors.
From start to finish it was a great experience and a great atmosphere. The venue was very good, the food was excellent.
What however stood out was the superb plot, and the actors and actresses were absolutely brilliant - all of them made the whole story believable, and their acting skills were spot on staying character and answering the questions and providing the info we needed to help make our decisions.
The way they interacted at different stages with each table, then acted out the different scenes made this event even more enjoyable and prompted us to ask questions
We would highly recommend attending one of these events and we would definitely go again.
