To the rather unique audience of science-fiction fans, Worlds Apart has become something of an internet phenomenon. Originally made nearly ten years ago by a group of sci-fi fans on a threadbare budget, this "homemade" series has recently received a new lease of life on numerous video websites and through subsequent distribution from fan to fan via DVD. Although plagued by poor sets, effects, costumes, dialogue and acting, this video series has captured the hearts of a small but loyal band of supporters, despite the final episode never actually being filmed. Now, for the first time, a fan convention has been organised. Many of the original main cast will be present, with the notable exception of the late lead actor. Some claim that the death is an example of the "curse" that has dogged the show but others claim that it is part of a deeper conspiracy; the rest just believe it was bad luck. Whatever the truth, the show's fortunes have certainly changed for the better. But will the reunion be everything the fans have waited for and will they find out how the series would have ended? How many more will succumb to the curse over this weekend... |

The first tangible evidence of the house that has become Savill Court is on the maps dated from 1815-1817. This was originally Common Land on what was known as Hurst Heath. The Land was once part of Chertsey Abbey Estate and later became Crown Land. The First house was a Straight Section with wings projecting at either end.
The next map, dated 1896, shows the house extended as a villa and pleasure grounds and included stables, yard buildings, gardeners cottages etc. The house was first owned by a widow called Hannah Knowles. Then by a Reverend, and later by a colonel.
The House was called Heath Lodge and was actually quite small. It is believed to have been extended in the 1870's but the most dramatic change took place when Baron Schroder bought the house in 1910 to accommodate his family and to extend his inheritance. He also bought a house called The Dell. This is a few yards from the entrance gates of Savill Court. The land that belonged to the Dell makes up the estate here. Baron Schroder extended the house and made it rectangular with an inner courtyard. He Created 50 Bedrooms, a billiard room, drawing room, a hall of pictures and servant quarters.
During the Second World War the house was used as a service hospital. After the war Baron Schroder lived in London, whilst Marga Schroder stayed at the house with a cook, butler and housekeeper. When Marga Died in 1977 the butler lived alone in the house for three and a half years until it was sold in 1980 to the company originally behind Savill Court, Country Town Hotels, for £850,00.00. it was rather run down and uncared for but work soon started on conversion from an English country house to the place it is today.
Savill Court, 140 en-suite rooms have all been refurbished to mirror the opulence of the hotel facade. With classic rooms, four poster bedrooms, and executive suites, all with free broadband access. Many rooms have views over the hotel's gardens and wooded parkland.
The renowned Orchid Restaurant offers a wide choice of imaginative cuisine from around the world - and its own exceptional ambience. Our wine list features superior wines of both traditional and new world vintage.

Hello this box should be movable. It has lots of information to force an overflow and hopefully this will generate a scrollbar. A second paragraph will be necessary to force this to happen as the first paragraph is not long enough on its own.
