A 12th Century Abbey, once home to Henry VIII now used for weddings, conferences, parties and events!

The Great Hall is a beautiful room with a 100ft high vaulted ceiling and minstrels gallery. The fireplace is over 400 years old and the large blocked window at the east end of the hall was originally painted in Tudor times although it has been recently restored. This magnificent Hall can hold 120 people for a seated meal.

Smaller parties of up to 65 guests can be catered for in the more intimate oak panelled Warwick room, also with a great stone fireplace at its centre.

A 12th Century Abbey, once home to Henry VIII and Elizabeth I. The abbey has numerous tales of ghosts and hauntings making it a popular ghost hunting venue- including TV’s popular Most Haunted.

In particular Lady Hoby who’s gloomy portrait hangs in the Great Hall and who once used to reside in the Abbey with her family is the most commonly spotted. In her long black dress and stiff white collar she walks the corridors of the abbey wailing for the loss of her son, whom it is said she murdered after she lost her temper with him, whipping him to death after he blotted his writing book and leaving him alone to die locked in the Abbey’s tower.

 Information Box X
Hello this box should be movable. It has lots of information to force an overflow and hopefully this will generate a scrollbar.
A second paragraph will be necessary to force this to happen as the first paragraph is not long enough on its own.
