Dating back to the 11th Century, Weston Manor Hotel is a delightful country house hotel situated as the centre piece of Weston on the Green, near Oxford. Offering easy access from the M40 & A34, this historic building and wonderful grounds make it a beautiful and unique hotel venue for conferences and weddings. Weston Manors history can be traced back to the 11th century but it was in the 16th century that the present Baronial Hall was the bailiffs court for the Abbott of Osney who owned the house before the dissolution of the monasteries by King Henry VIII.
Subsequently the great land owning families, the Earls of Abingdon and Berkshire - the "Norreys and Berties" resided at Weston Manor until the death of the last heir during the great war in 1917.
Renovated during the twenties and thirties by several families, Weston Manor was occupied during the second world war when it was used by the BBC as a dormitory for their staff.
The building was converted into a hotel in the late 1940's, and bought by its present owners, the Osborn family in 1983. Mr and Mrs Osborn pride themselves on the care and effort they have made to sympathetically restore the building and its grounds. * The Manor Restaurant

Hello this box should be movable. It has lots of information to force an overflow and hopefully this will generate a scrollbar. A second paragraph will be necessary to force this to happen as the first paragraph is not long enough on its own.
