History

Founded in 1317 as a Carmelite monastery and later patronised by Henry VIII, the house was later used as a private residence by the Delme-Radcliffe family, as reflected in some of the room names. Many original features remain, including cloisters, Monks Walk with its original beams and large banqueting halls with grand fireplaces.

Guests and paranormal investigators have reported sighting ghostly monks in the cellar (now a bar) and a 'grey lady' who roams the corridors.

I would like to let you know what a fantastic time my friend and I had on Saturday. Great friendly actors, venue was lovely and food and service was very good. We sat at a table with like minded people, it was a fun filled evening. Would recommend this event to anyone, oh and by the way we got the murderer right.
